Classified according to the degree of process combination

a. Single-step mold: The automobile mold only completes one stamping process in one stroke of the press.

b. Composite mold: The automobile mold has only one working position, and in the one stroke of the press, two or more stamping processes are simultaneously completed at the same working position.

c. Progressive die (also called continuous die): There are two or more stations in the feeding direction of the blank. The car mold completes two passes at different stations in one stroke of the press. Or two or more molds for the stamping process.
